I was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1969, and raised in the foothills and mountains of Tennessee. At a young age of 10 years old, playing music with my family on the front porch of my Mom Mom;s house, is when my love of playing music started. Over the years I started tinkering and changing things on my guitars. I've played the drums, saxophone, bass, mandolin, and guitar. Guitar is my first love, to the fact of that my collection of assorted pieces: from acoustic, mandolins and basses. The brands range from Fenders, Gibson, Epiphones, Gretches, Ernie Ball Music Man, LTD's and Schecter's. If I see one that catches my eye, and it plays well I get it.

        My entire life I have been either in construction or mechanic field, so taking things apart and building things is a passion of mine. About 10 years ago I started upgrading hardware on my guitars and decided that I wanted to build my own guitar from scratch. I started out buying pieces and putting together guitars that way. Then I started building jigs and patterns for my own design. 

          Meanwhile during at time, I started carving customs signs for family and friends, which turned to be another passion of mine. Everyone kept telling me that I should start doing it for the public, So I decided to do both and share my passion of building guitars and carving signs in one place. This site is a place for me to share both my passions with the world.

       I am also in a local band in central FL. called Gear Grinders Band. We play classic rock and blues. We play for the love of music and the enjoyment of seeing our crowds with smiles and being touched by our sound. Hope to see y'all out there somewhere.
